This blog post is to wish all the readers a very happy and prosperous new year 2011. " Aniruddha - Varshabhinandan" to all of you. Wish that all of us get increased bhakti, seva, sharanyay (at His Feet) leading to prosperity.
Last year fortunately for all the Shraddhavans the last day of the year i.e. 31st December had fallen on the holy day i.e Thursday and there was Pravachan as usual. But it was extended for celebrating the new year. A special prayer ceremony was specially organized at the mid-night hour.
Following mantras, verses and hymns were recited by all the Shraddhavans in presence of Param Poojya Aniruddha Bapu, Param Poojya Nandai and Param Poojya Suchitdada. The sequence of the special prayer recited is as follows:
1) Ram Vijay Mantra ( "रामो राजमणी सदा विजयते" shlok)
2) Ghorkashta-Uddharan Stotra (1 time) ( "श्रीपाद श्रीवल्लभंत्वं सदैव" )
3) "अनसुयोत्री संभुतो, दत्तात्रेयो दिगंबरा, स्मर्तुगामी स्वभक्तानाम उध्दरता भव संकटात" shlok (for sometime, approx 3-5 mins)
4) Adimata Ashubhanashini Stotra (1 time)
5) "सर्व मंगल मांगल्ये, शिवे सर्वार्थ साधिके, शरण्ये त्र्यंबके गौरी नारायणी, नमोस्तुते" mantra (for sometime, approx 3-5 mins)
6) "ॐ ऎम ह्रिम क्लिम चामुंडायैय विच्चे" mantra (for sometime, approx 3-5 mins)
7) "ॐ कृपासिंधु श्री साईनाथाय नम:" mantra (for sometime, approx 3-5 mins).
8) "Akkalkot Swami Stavanam" (Refer the image above)
9) Aarti of Shree Saibaba ( "आरती साईबाबा, सौख्य..." )
After this prayer P. P. Bapu had asked all the Shraddhavans to offer this same sequence of prayers to the Lord on the eve of every new year at the stroke of mid-night. Bapu said that this period of transition from old year to new year is very important (from 11 : 50 pm to 12 : 10 am) and holy recitations should be essentially made during this time. Further, Bapu had said that this prayer should be done by keeping our Mother, Bhakta - Mata (Chida-nanda Shakti) in front of you or by imagining Her to be infront of us. Once we do this He i.e. Lord Parmatma and Goddess Alhadini would come and settle Themselves in the life of each one us for the entire year. P. P. Bapu said that one can enjoy the new year to the fullest, one can throw a party, enjoy great food and cakes but should not forget Him (Lord Parmatma) during those celebratory times.
