Happened to hear a wonderful discourse by Sadguru Aniruddha Bapu in which he enlists the 5 deeps (lights) that are there in a human body (spiritually) and the role they play.

The sun is also called as Vishwadeep. What is a Deep? One that enlightens the vision is a deep. The ultimate light is inside me. If the visual centre (rishis call it 'Pragyadeep') in my brain is not active, I can't see even with lights on. Outer and Inner (Antar) Pragyadeep are two types of Pragyadeep. The inner Pragyadeep starts to fade as we grow. At 25-30 years of age it almost completely fades. But it doesn't fade totally due to the unmerited grace of God.
The feeling of 'I am not needed' is a form of death, of emptiness. It comes because we didn't see what was to be seen with inner Pragyadeep.
The second Deep in our body is 'Sandeep'. It stays in our heart (premamai antahkaran). Antar Pragyadeep and Sandeep keep enlightening each other. We love wrong people but don't love the right ones. This is due to lack of coordination between Sandeep and Antar Pradnyadeep. Sandeep takes the light of our love.
Many people say that intelligence is not needed for performing bhakti. If that was the case then even animals could have performed devotion. Many non-believers even say that devotees are not brave. But greats like Maharana Pratap who was a devotee of Lord Shiva, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj a Mata Jagdamba devotee, Chandragupta Maurya (devotee of Lord Shiva), Samudragupta Maurya (devotee of Shree Mahavishnu), Lokmanya Tilak (a Lord Ganpati devotee), Mahatma Gandhi (a Shree Ram devotee), Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose (a devotee of Kali Mata), Guru Gobind Singh ji and his two children were all known for their valour and bravery as much for their worship. Rather it is Bhakti that imparts intelligence and bravery. Love and intelligence mingle only in bhakti.
Famous scientist Albert Einstein had said, "God doesn't play dice". He was talking about laws of nature which function specifically and in orderly manner due to the grace of God. Today science says universe is infinite. Our Vedas have told this way back. There are two different groups of scientists; one says universe is expanding while other says its contracting - Vedas mention both the theories to be true. After getting educated few people lose their faith in God. It actually means they never got educated. If God didn't exist then how could the universe work on its own? Does any man-made machine work on its own over and over the years without any intervention? Man can pluck 100 thousand leaves from a tree but cant join even one back to it. In complete darkness (darkness of problem) when help comes from an unknown corner - that is the Matsya Avatar of Mahavishnu.
In another reference Dr. Aniruddha said that natural deliveries are not happening these days due to fear in women. It is through antar Pradnyadeep (heartbeats) that the newborn identifies his mother. He also said that Stem cells therapy in here to stay.
There is a third light that stays at our umbilicus (Naabhideep). It makes us fearless. Till Pragyadeep and Sandeep do not enlighten and become as long as required, Naabhideep doesn't enlighten. And they enlighten and develop with bhakti which is performed with love. But one must not show off bhakti. I also must understand that miracles dont benefit me, the biggest miracle is the change in my life. Also, just think of life which doesn't have any fears; indeed great!
There are 2 more deeps in human body. i.e. in totality there are 5 deeps in our body hence we perform pancharti during God's worship. Fourth is 'Saraswatdeep' (one which originates from Saraswati); it stays in my both palms. Fifth is 'Lakshmideep'. The real Goddess Lakshmi can transform amavasya (new moon day) to poornima (full moon day) hence Lakshmi's birthday is on the day of amavasya. When we join our palms and close our Aadnyachakra (centre of forehead) with the gap in them (formed between thumbs), it enlightens Saraswatdeep. Lakshmi stays only where Narayan is. I have to be down to earth in front of God. Enlightenment of Saraswatdeep stops happening of sins at our hands. Not wearing masks in front of God will enlighten Saraswatdeep. A famous Marathi devotional song says, 'Devachiye dwari ubha kshanbhari'- meaning, being stable and not just stand in front of God.
Bapu also narrated story of Janabai and Namdev. Once Lord Vitthal asked Namdev to leave for Punjab and told that He would accompany him. At Brahmamuhurta, Namdev awaited His arrival. But He did not come. That was when Janabai told Namdev that he must not await for arrival (of God) but should await for God Himself. (There is a very fine line differentiating these two things).
Thus these 5 deeps are our 'real estate'.

What I liked the most was the story of Janabai which is a kind of a ticket to meet God and the fact that bhakti increase our love for God.
