Discourse by Param Poojya Aniruddha Bapu on 30th April 2009
On the Thursday of 30th April 2009, Bapu delivered His discourse as usual again at New English High School ground at Bandra East, Mumbai. Bapu continued the topic of Datta Yag he had mentioned in His earlier discourse on 16th April 2009.
Bapu first announced the extension of period of Datta Yag which was earlier scheduled between 6th - 8th 2009. Datta Yag would now be held from Tuesday, 5th May 2009 to Saturday, 9th May 2009.
Bapu entailed 24 Gurus of Lord Dattatrey, which He had just introduced, in His earlier discourse. Following is the list
1. The Earth
2. The Wind
3. The Sky
4. The Water
5. The Fire
6. The Moon
7. The Sun
8. The Pigeon
9. The Python
10. The Sea
11. The Moth
12. The Queen Bee and the Honey Collector
13. The Elephant (Gajendra)
14. The Bumblebee
15. The Musk Deer
16. The Fish
17. The Prostitute - Pingala
18. The Lapwing
19. The Child
20. The Bangles
21. The Artisan
22. The Snake
23. The Spider
24. The Wasp
Bapu first explained story behind every element and then He explained why each of these elements were observed as Guru by Lord Dattatrey. Lord Dattatrey had very minutely observed all these 24 elements and had specified what should the human race learn from them. Learning would be from two perspectives
1) What morals we should learn from these 24 Gurus and implement in our actions, behaviour and thinking.
2) What actions should be eliminated from our behaviour and thinking.
One can find a detailed specification of this in the book, which is released by Aniruddha Upasna Trust on 2nd of May 2009. The book is readily available at all the designated stores of the Trust.
Bapu urged everyone to read this book carefully using one’s heart and mind and apply and implement the same principles in one life to better it and finally achieve Lord and His grace, which are two sides of same coin.
Bapu generally never asks anyone to miss out on office and other professional schedules or give a miss to appointments with friends and relatives. But this time around Bapu urged everyone to skip all the office and other professional schedules and also give a miss to the appointments with friends and relatives and participate in this Yag.
Bapu explained that a devotee who visits the venue of Datta Yag (Ground Hall of New English High School, Bandra East, Mumbai) can offer his worship and could perform 3 types different rituals.
1) Niyati Chakra Parivartan Pradakshina
2) Shree Sarvato-Bhadra Kumbh Yatra
3) Shree Dwadasha-Jyotirlinga Kailash Mahapujan
(Costing respectively INR 101/-, INR 501/- & INR 1001/-)
Further Bapu claimed that this Yag wouldn’t be repeated in the near future (Minimum 3 years). This itself explains the immense importance of the Yag which is already stated in the earlier Discourse dated 16th April 2009.
